Hey everyone! Today I’m sharing with you one of the new recipes I recently learnt to make. I have the tendency to get bored a food quickly, therefore I try to constantly make new recipes that I find online and in recipe books. This recipe is a Korean spicy Gochujang Chicken Wings. This is a recipe that you could have on its own, with side dishes, rice or even a salad.

Here is todays recipe

YOU WILL NEED:

1kg chicken wings

4 large garlic cloves

1 thumb size piece of ginger

1 tablespoon Gochujang paste

2 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon Chinese Vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)

2 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 tablespoon hot chilly pepper flakes

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

½ teaspoon sesasame seeds

1-2 spring onions

Firstly, preheat the oven to 240 degrees Celsius. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Next in a large bowl mix together the grated garlic cloves, grated ginger, gochujang paste, honey, vinegar, soy sauce, oyster sauce oyster sauce, sesame oil, salt and pepper.

Put the chicken wings into the bowl and mix well to coat it. Place the Chicken wings on the baking tray. Place to onside the remaining marinade in the bowl. Bake the chicken wings in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Turn the chicken wings on the other side and continue cooking it for another 15 minutes or until cooked through.

While the chicken is cooking, put the remaining marinade to a small sauce pan. You don’t need a lot of it so its okay if it is a small amount. Bring the marinade to a boil and simmer for about 3-5 minutes, until the marinade has thickened.

When the chicken wings are cooked through, brush them with the thickened marinade. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and thinly sliced spring onions.

Hope you enjoy!✨
